VICTORIA BECKHAM SHARES STEAMY MEMORIES OF HER 'INTENSE AND VERY, VERY ROMANTIC' WEEKEND WITH HUSBAND DAVID AT THE START OF THEIR ROMANCE AHEAD OF 25TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Victoria Beckham has reflected on the steamy early months of her relationship with husband David as they prepare to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, the Spice Girl reminisced about a weekend in Portofino in 1997, just weeks after she had got together with the footballer.

Sharing snaps of the couple in each other's arms during a boat ride, Victoria gushed: 'Portofino in 1997 was a very, very romantic trip. I remember how excited I was there to be there with David for the first time.'

'The intensity of the two of us being together that 48 hours really was amazing…'

The post was to promote Victoria's latest fragrance under her Victoria Beckhma beauty brand, titled Portofino ’97.

It prompted a gushing comment from Kourtney Kardashian, who married her husband Travis Barker in Portofino in 2022, as she commented: 'Ahhh Portofino ❤️'

The couple's 1997 trip to Portofino came shortly after the pair met in 1997 after 'Posh Spice' attended one of David's Manchester United matches with bandmate Mel C .

They announced to the public that they were engaged a year later and have been happily married since July 1999.

Now, four children and two hugely successful careers later, Posh and Becks are gearing up to celebrate their milestone silver wedding anniversary on July 4.

While they are now Brand Beckham, collaborating on work projects and enjoying their lavish life together, at the start of her relationship with David Victoria says she was told by her manager at the time to 'keep it under wraps'.

She told the 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham : 'We would meet in car parks and that's not as seedy as it sounds.'

David's mother meanwhile admitted in the documentary she was worried her son would get side-tracked from his career at Manchester United when Victoria came onto the scene.

Sandra recalled: 'We'd were worried he would lose everything he worked for because football had always come first and then all of a sudden it wasn't.'
