'QUEEN BEA ALONZO': 'WIDOWS' WAR' TRENDS ON X FOLLOWING PREMIERE

"Widows' War" has finally made its GMA Prime debut!

Following its pilot episode's world premiere, the murder-mystery series became a hot topic on X (formerly Twitter), landing a spot on the list of trending topics.

Bea Alonzo immediately earned applause from netizens for her emotional portrayal of Sam Castillo.

"Galing pa din! Iba talaga pag Bea Alonzo... the best super best and very best!" one said.

The Kapuso actress was also called a "queen" by some netizens.

"The one and only, queen Bea Alonzo!" a user said. "Parang movie ang quality ng series na 'to! Grabe ang acting plus the cinematography!"

"Pilot episode pa lang, pinakitaan agad tayo ni Queen Bea Alonzo! Pakahusay," another user said.

Earlier, Bea said that, aside from the genre, she accepted the project because she had always wanted to work with Zig Dulay, the director behind "Maria Clara at Ibarra" and Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 Best Picture "Firefly."

"Buti na lang nabigyan ako ng chance 'to kasi hindi ko pinagsisisihan kasi 'yung proseso niya at 'yung talento niya, talagang ishe-share niya sa aming lahat," Bea said.

"Widows' War" is a spinoff of the popular murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widow's Web."

Bea stars alongside Carla Abellana, Tonton Gutierrez, Jean Garcia, Rita Daniela, Jeric Gonzales, Benjamin Alves, Juancho Triviño, Jackie Lou Blanco, James Graham, and more.

"Widows' War" airs weekdays at 8:50 p.m.
