ANTON DU BEKE REUNITES WITH ICONIC STRICTLY COME DANCING PARTNER

Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke met once again with his series 12 celebrity contestant Judy Murray.

Wimbledon is well and truly underway, but the mother of Andy Murray may have made time for a spot of dancing after meeting up with the Strictly star. The 57-year-old reunited with the Scottish tennis coach, who is currently navigating the news of Andy’s private medical details being leaked after he withdrew from the Wimbledon men’s singles event.

The pair previously competed on the BBC dance competition series back in 2014, and have now met some 10 years later. The iconic season also saw the likes of Alison Hammond, Pixie Lott, and Steve Backshall competing, while the late Caroline Flack was crowned the winner at the time.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday to share the sweet moment, Judy simply captioned the snap, "Reunited." The photo portrayed the dance expert embracing his arms around the tennis mogul, while the pair beamed.

It’s not the first time that the pair have come together since their competition series ended. Back in 2017, Judy and Anton were interviewed at the same tennis championship where they spoke about performing three exclusive performances during the professional dancer’s tour.

Speaking on the Wimbledon official YouTube account, Judy said at the time: "I came and danced on three of his shows for a bit of fun, but I haven’t danced since then." She continued, adding: "When we were training, we tried to train at places that had tennis courts and dance studios so that he could teach me to dance, and I could teach him to play tennis."

"It worked pretty well, didn’t it?" She said. To this, Anton responded: "Perfect! Absolutely brilliant, wasn’t it? I really enjoyed it."

Elsewhere, Anton avoided drawing attention to his recent achievement with Giovani Pernice, who is currently the subject of allegations of “abusive behaviour” on the show. Anton was shortlisted for a National Television Award for his BBC travel documentary with Giovanni, ‘Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures’.

The series saw the pro dancers travelling around Sicily, and then Spain, as they documented their antics. Giovanni recently urged his followers to vote for them, even vowing to undergo a tattoo of Anton’s initials on his wrist if they win.

Anton declined to speak out on the nomination on social media. It comes after the BBC confirmed that Giovanni has left the series following the accusations made against him, which the dancer has vehemently denied.

However, the pair reunited for their live tour, where Giovanni resumed his role as a dancer. The pair wore matching white and black suits in a recent social media clip, where Giovanni addressed the audience saying: "It's nice to be back."
