Tina Knowles is laying her cards down, down, down, down.

Beyoncé's mom gave a fierce reply to social media users doubting her family's work ethic after granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter—who Bey shares with Jay-Z—won the YoungStars Award at the 2024 BET Awards June 30.

"In spite of all the challenged adults who struggle with the green eyed monster disease," Tina wrote on Instagram July 1, "in true Carter/Knowles/Beyince tradition it just motivates you to keep it moving. Congratulations BIC you deserve everything you work hard to get."

The matriarch went on to share what impresses her most about the 12-year-old—and it's not her Grammy Award.

"I marvel at your talent your beauty your intelligence but I am most proud of your kindness and down to earth attitude," Tina, 70, shared. "Never attention seeking , just cool and chill as a cucumberr all the time."

In fact, Blue is so humble, according to her grandma, that she doesn't want her family boasting about her talents.

"Yesterday you played the piano for just me like someone who has been taking lessons for years," Tina continued. "But you are self taught . One day I hope you will let me post it and brag like other grandmas get to do . But for now you made me swear to not share."

And music isn't the only area the tween thrives in: She also plays sports, dances, sings "like an angel" and paints "like a fine artist."

Needless to say, Tina isn't the only one who's proud of Blue.

Family friend Holly Robinson Peete commented on the Instagram post, noting, "it’s remarkable how grounded and amazing she is!!"
