THE KID LAROI FINALLY CONFIRMS HE IS DATING SINGER TATE MCRAE AS THE LOVEBIRDS GO INSTAGRAM OFFICIAL WITH VERY PASSIONATE IMAGE
The Kid Laroi has confirmed his romance with Tate McRae via a declaration of 'love' after months of speculation.
With their rumoured fling making headlines since early this year, the Australian rapper, 20, finally revealed he and the Canadian singer, 21, are in a relationship.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Stay hitmaker shared a very passionate picture of the pair sharing a kiss to celebrate Tate's birthday.
'Happy 21st birthday. You make me better! I love you, Tate,' the singer-songwriter declared in a very heartwarming message.
In the saucy snap, Laroi was garbed in a crisp white button-up shirt with a green bandana around his head as he leant over to lock lips with his love.
Tate, who wore a blue pinstripe top, leaned into the public display of affection as she pushed her brunette locks back with a pair of sunglasses perched atop her head.
The announcement comes after Laroi dropped a very telling hint about his relationship with Tate earlier this year in a new TikTok video.
The music artist shared a clip to the social media platform in which he wore a shirt with Tate's face on the front.
Fans were quick to notice, with one writing, 'IS THAT TATE ON UR SHIRT,' while another said: 'TATE T-SHIRT SO ICONIC.'
Yet another chimed in, 'Love the T-shirt,' with someone else saying: 'I Iove ur shirt.'
The shirt in question showed the Canadian pop star in black and white and appeared to be a promotional item from a recent tour.
Earlier this year, Laroi gave a very telling radio interview after the pair sparked rumours when they were spotted getting cosy out in public at the time.
While he didn't directly comment on the relationship, he told on Nova 96.9's Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie he is 'happier than ever'.
Chatting over the phone with the breakfast show hosts, Laroi, whose real name is Charlton Howard, was asked a very direct question by Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli.
'Is that Tate McRae jumping in the car with you? Or is she not there today?' Wippa, 44, asked as they heard another person on Laroi's end of the line.
Laroi easily side-stepped the probing question as he responded with: 'You guys are crazy.'
Host Kate, 45, praised him for his 'great response', but Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald refused to let the bone go, saying; 'Can we just ask, are you happy at the moment?'
'I'm very happy. I'm most definitely happy. I'm actually the happiest I've ever been. Maybe ever,' Laroi said.
'That's love!' Wippa cried out, as Laroi responded: 'Thank you, guys. I appreciate you guys supporting me.'
Just a few weeks earlier, Laroi and Tate were spotted holding hands as they left Michael Rubin's Super Bowl party.
The pair were seen out and about together in multiple places, leading fans and online commentators to speculate on the nature of their relationship.
Speculation the pair are dating has been circulating ever since their vacation together in Mexico earlier this year.
In a video shared to social media, the You Broke Me First singer and Laroi were seen dancing with friends.
Adding to the rumours, Tate posted a photo on Instagram during the trip where she seemed to be wearing one of Laroi's shirts over her swimsuit.
